I really enjoyed reading this book very much. I loved the storyline. It was interesting, well written and fast moving. The author kept me wanting to read more and I didn’t want to put it down. I fell in love with the characters and was sad when the book ended. The author tied it up nicely & it is a stand-alone. I would recommend this book to my book friends.

This is a quick, sweet read. Our hero starts out with no real direction in life (which was needed or else he would just be too good to be true) and ends up being a fantastic cook, handyman and cheerleader for the heroine. The heroine starts out wound-up tight, with no joy in her life and ends up loosening up with him and enjoying life. Through their fake marriage, they bring out the best in each other and ultimately decide to stay together. I've read similar plots before and this one did a good job of keeping things interesting.
I received this book as a ARC for a honest review. I loved this book! The Author did a great job with these characters. You will fall in love with Jillian and Thad. Jillian is trying to move up the corporate ladder and knows a promotion is just around the corner. However, she feels she might not get it because she doesn't fit in with all the higher up's (all male) and knows that the only way she could secure that promotion is to find herself a fake husband. She finds just that when she reads an online ad, from Thad, stating he was looking for work and had some acting skills. When they meet, they have no idea what's in store for them or how right they are for each other. This is a fun and witty romance novel with very lovable characters. It was so good, I didn't want to put it down! I can't wait to read more by Samantha Westlake.
Jillian is a career woman. She works hard but is having trouble breaking the glass ceiling and entering the boys club. While drinking one night she gets a crazy idea. A fake husband. A man who can entertain the boys club and help her to get a promotion she wants badly. Thad is a bum. We do not know much about Thad's past. Thad lives on his friends couch and seems to be a slacker. When Thad's best friend, Davis, grills Thad and tells him he needs to get a job, Thad in a drunken state posts an ad on Craigslist. Jillian stumbles across the ad and responds. For $10,000 Thad has to pretend t be Jillian's husband for a month. During that month he also needs to complete some items on her to do list. With nothing better to do Thad agrees. This book was pretty predictable but at the same time very enjoyable. It is light and funny. Overall a pretty good read.
This is a well written book that gives you that happy ending and the sweet love story that most romantics love. The story line was good and wasn't as typical as I thought it would be , in fact it was better than I thought and had a slightly different twist then I thought. I felt the author did a good job on the writing, and the descriptions were so real that I could picture what things might look like. I also thought she did a great job with the characters. Thad and Jillian were so well written that it made me easy to fall in love with their personalities. If your a romantic at heart then this book would be a good choices or you to read. I recieved an arc in exchange for a honest review.
At first I wasn't going to finish the book to be honest then I was like give it a chance. I'm glad I did.
Jillian was so much into getting what she wanted that she didn't see what she had until it was to late. She worked hard at a job and she didn't think her boss took her serious, cause she wasn't a man or she wasn't a man.
Thad, I didn't think much of him at first. He thought to much of himself and he didn't even have a life. So he put himself on Craigslist and that's how he met Jillian.
Jillian needed a husband to get a promotion, that's where Thad comes in. There was rules for this fake marriage. But somehow they got broke and then the feeling started to happen. She got the promotion and then she got drunk and told Thad that she loved him and she wanted the marriage to be real. When she woke up he was gone and all he left was a note.
Thad left because he didn't think he deserved her, and that life. He was so miserable without her. But would they ever make it real? You have to read the book. I received this book as a ARC for a honest review.
i received this book in exchange for my honest review. Jillian is looking for someone to have no strings no romance to play a fake husband and she will pay them. Thad is unemployed writer and a lot of other things. both put up ads and she answers his ad and the meet. She decides to hire him. He moves into her house and he is responsible for doing things around the house which he does and he also decides to cook her meals. not simple meals but really delicious healthy meals. they work out together and one thing leads to another and the KISS! her mom comes for a quick visit and he charms her. during the holidays there is a work party for her job and they go to it and he plays nice with her bosses and talks her up which makes them think about her promotion. After one hot night together he decides to leave with just a note no talking no nothing. a few weeks past and she finds a file on her laptop and she reads it and the ending of the book is great
